Policy Statements – Public Consultation

We are now developing and drafting our Policy Statements for the Frodsham Neighbourhood Plan. Please be part of this process. You can have your say by telling us about some of the things you would like to see included in these policies. Although Neighbourhood Plans cannot change national policies like Fracking or building Wind Farms, they can influence local initiatives by collecting accurate, robust and powerful evidence from the community that supports or rejects a specific project.

Our FOUR policies are:

Intention of the Policy:

  • To facilitate safe and smooth access in, out and around Frodsham for pedestrians, cyclists, differently abled people and drivers
  • To encourage eco-friendly means of transport

Intention of the Policy

  •  Prioritising new development, brownfield sites, garden land, identified rural exception sites on green belt.
  • Supporting building of affordable homes (affordable in perpetuity) (criteria re: who can have them?) Self-build & eco housing.

Intention of the Policy:

  • To encourage the growth of current business and support new business in Frodsham
  • To encourage development of Frodsham’s tourism and visitor economy.

Intention of the Policy:

  • To support opportunities for the resident and visitors to Frodsham to maintain their health and wellbeing
  • To encourage the provision of sports, play and recreation facilities that benefit our community and our visitors.
